October 1, 2010, Tucson, Ariz. – Tucson-based Watermark at Home has acquired Sunrise Home Care of Arizona, Inc. The licensed home care agency is one of Southern Arizona’s oldest, having originally opened for business as Home & Hospital Services in 1978. It became Medicare certified in 1993.
With offices located at 5830 N. Fountains Avenue, Watermark at Home offers a wide range of home care and private duty nursing services throughout the Tucson valley, according to Olivia Cortinas-Romero, Executive Director for Watermark at Home in Tucson. Nursing services are provided by State Licensed Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and State Certified Home Health Aides (CNAs). Rehabilitation services are provided by State Licensed Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Language Pathologists. Social services are provided by Certified Social Workers (MSWs) who provide assistance with an understanding of financial and community resources. Dietary services are provided by a Registered Dietician. In addition, Watermark at Home looks beyond traditional care delivery models for opportunities to help clients truly thrive.

Integral to its plan to further expand service areas, Watermark at Home has announced the appointment of Lou Schroeder as Chief Home Health Officer. With nineteen years of health care industry experience, a background in finance and ten years as a CFO for home health services for a leading company, Schroeder will lead Watermark at Home in an aggressive five-year business expansion through nationwide agency acquisition and market development.
